Hi everyone,
did you really think that Seychelles was ONLY a place to relax? Of course they are, but they will also surprise you with their lively nightlife (otherwise, how would the locals have fun?)
You are ready?
So let’s start with dinner, continue with a pre-evening sipping a cocktail and conclude with the beloved disco, going on until 4-5 in the morning, then maybe hamburgers or chicken & chips (instead of our croissant).
Warning: the entrance to the discos is around 11.00 pm, but the clubs get crowded around one o’clock (a bit like in Italy). For the men: don’t forget to wear long trousers, otherwise they will leave you out.
MAHÉ
THE BOARDWALK in Eden Island more lounge bar I would say with DJ sets and live music practically every night this place is open from 8 am to 12 am and on Friday and Saturday closes at 1.30 am
KATIOLO at Anse Faure: the oldest nightclub on the island. Do you think that 50 years ago my uncles got married right here! Open on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, famous for The Ladies night on Wednesdays: all women get in free. Curiosity: it’s ladies’ night but, in the end, there are more and more men! Who knows why… Within reach of all ears for the variety of music proposed: 70s-80s-90s, reggae, hip hop, dance and segà. The nice thing is that the disco is also outdoors, so you can breathe the air that comes directly from the ocean.
BARRELL in Victoria, near the Police station. Disco where they play reggae, hip hop and local music with two internal rooms and one external (but I haven’t been here since I’ve been ciovaneeee)
BUKINARMS PALACE in Au Cap disco open to all and mostly frequented by locals
PRASLIN
OXYGEN NIGHTCLUB in Baie Ste Anne. Find a disco even on the smallest island of the Seychelles, in a suggestive atmosphere, when the sun goes down, to dance from sunset onwards.
CHILL OUT TAPAS BAR at Le Duc du Praslin hotel. Place that offers guests and tourists a breathtaking view directly on the Cote d’Or, where they can relax and entertain for a long time. Elegant chic and trendy hotel in a tropical setting. An exclusive bar serving a wide range of drinks and cocktails with tasty appetizers. The high quality furnishings offer outdoor loungers, LED lit, tables and chairs creating a ‘groove’ environment.
From 6pm every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Top DJ and Live band
LA DIGUE
LOLANS at Le Repaire Boutique kiosk directly on the beach and nothing short of romantic and relaxing.
Remember that everyone is always welcome in the Seychelles, even in hotels where you don’t stay, being able to enjoy the bar and restaurant services, like guests, and evenings with local singers and music.
So, if you’re not too tired: shower, put on your best clothes and let’s jump in the pan! They are not very many but as I always say if you want nightlife go to Ibiza.
