The weather in the Seychelles

Tempo di lettura 3 minuti

Hello everybody!!!! Now I will explain in a few lines the climate that exists in the Seychelles since the classic question that everyone asks me is: what is the best time to go to the Seychelles ???

In the Seychelles, the weather is beautiful all year round. The climate is tropical and is always pleasant thanks to constant ventilation with average temperatures between 26 and 33 degrees.

The Seychelles are out of the zone of cyclones and monsoons and so rainstorms are rare. Obviously, to keep the green lung of vegetation, there must be rains, otherwise it would all be dry.

Let’s say that when it rains it happens that after 10 minutes it stops or that on the opposite side of the island there is a sun that breaks the stones. But you could also be super loser and catch the rain for days … We all know by now that the weather is a bit strange, it will also be due to climate change and all the pollution we produce every day.

The fact remains that for now and I hope for a long time the Seychelles will be a completely natural and out of this world place, keeping the vegetation very tropical … Even if unfortunately there is also industrialization here and therefore the construction of the buildings is in progress. increase.

I hope with all my heart that sooner or later they stop building and realize that the Seychelles are wonderful because of this, the naturalness and the vegetation. Yes this is an appeal !!!

There are two main seasons dominated by the trade winds that blow in opposite directions: the period from November to April, touched by the north-west wind, is warmer, with more intense but short-term rainfall and the sea is generally calm; from May to October the temperatures are slightly cooler and the climate drier thanks to the winds from the south east.

The periods of calm between the trade winds, in the months of April / May and October / November, have a warmer and windless climate with the calm and clear sea.

Therefore, the fact remains that in April, August and December is the period with the greatest influx of tourists also given by the holidays.

The best time to go depends on what you want to do:

  • For diving and snorkeling the best times are from March to May and from September to November. In addition, in October every year, SUBIOS, the underwater photography and film festival, takes place.
  • For bird watching the best times are in April coinciding with the mating season, May-September for the nesting of terns and October for migrations.
  • For deep sea fishing the period from October to April is recommended, while for surfing and windsurfing the months from May to September.
